Diana Calenti, Choreographer, Teacher, TV Producer, Dancer has achieved legendary international acclaim after spending years in Egypt, choreographing, teaching and performing with Egypt’s National Folkloric Troupes.
She spent 15 years teaching Egyptian Dance at the American University in Cairo and was appointed by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture as Director and Choreographer of the Modern Folkloric Egyptian Dance Company after spending years choreographing and performing with Egypt’s famed REDA National Folkloric Group.
She spent decades working with young people, teaching and creating new exciting works which were performed at Cairo’s famed Opera House.
On returning to the US, she has been producing shows for the ART Television Network in addition to teaching dance.
She conceived and created two new shows for the Network. First, Downstairs CafĂ©, and now, the very successful new show, WHAT’S HAPPENING. Again she finds herself working with very talented young people in pursuit of excellence. The show features the achievements of young Arab Americans in all fields and is produced in Washington DC.
As Creator and Producer she works very closely with the show’s talented Co-producers and Hosts in putting together an outstanding Television show.
